But anyways I have a weak stomach and ended up throwing up the tea we made from it so they all tripped and I didn’t.
Next time try grinding them up in a coffee grinder and let them soak in lemon juice for 10-15 minutes. Usually takes away the nausea :cheers
I seriously hope you can stay clean with everything else

I’m just here to read about the alcoholics. My family member is currently getting treatment, and I’m curious what all I’ll be facing when she eventually comes home.

A girl named Nancy.

Dipping
It only hits me after I eat or need to take a dump. If I could only eliminate those two, I could quit.

I did cocaine pretty much daily for like 10 years. Just stopped one day, didn't like how I was feeling. I still do it 1 or 2 times a year or so.

Pricey, how much each day? You ever shoot it or just sniff?

Dam this got heavy, glad you are clean and sober now. I have family members who are alcoholics and talked about how bad the withdrawals are and the shakes and how shitty they felt ,but what you described seems like another level. As for me I never really got addicted to anything. I started smoking on in Iraq during the night shift cause I find it kept me alert and quit when we got back. To me it was more of a habit than an addiction and it took a month or two to break it completely.

Just snorted, I was spending about $100/day. I could get 2 grams for 80 bucks. Cheaper if I bought it by the ball.

It’s different but I’d never knock what a true full blown alcoholic might go through as well. That can be absolutely brutal and even deadly, something that opiate withdrawal isn’t (the benzo withdrawal can be though).
Drugs are fun in moderation but some of us simply aren’t wired for moderation. Whether it’s booze or heroin or fatty foods, some of us simply can’t use like a normal person. And unfortunately with booze or heroin once you do enough long enough the hell sets in and you’re an absolute slave to it. I by and large stopped getting high, certainly nothing like the beginning, I had to use to function and not be sick.

Boudin. Ate it everyday for breakfast for like 12 years. Would pretty much have 1-4 pieces in that span everyday as well.

The outcome will be largely dependent on whether or not she wants to stop drinking or is just there to temporarily get others off her back.

Definitely true. You can't make somebody else quit, they have to be at the stage where they want to quit. You can dry em out / sober em up but that doesn't mean they quit.

Chewing tobacco. Dipped for 10 years and quit cold turkey one day a few years ago. For about two months, I wanted to rip the gums out of my mouth.
