I’m promising you that it’s going to get there if you keep drinking

I'm on day 27 of no alcohol. I've been an alcoholic for going on 40 years. I'm 53.

It really is one day at a time, for me. Some people can have a beer or two. I'm not one of those people.

Love them all the same and realize they have a disease that they struggle with and likely feel as if they’re in complete hell. That said you definitely need to have boundaries and have every right to protect yourself from them and their addiction and don’t feel bad about setting it.

Not necessarily. If they come out of treatment fully committed to staying sober, they can definitely do it. However nobody but themselves can make that determination, and even then, it can be a bit of an uphill battle.

Afrin for me too. I abused it for probably 20 years and now my sense of smell is gone. Which is both a good and bad thing. I can’t smell someone’s fart, yet if there’s a gas leak I’ll just bake in it.

It's an unbelievable suck down on life.

You know when you start getting addicted and you just don't stop. Tomorrow was my favorite word and tomorrow comes sooner rather then later.

When I say alcohol is subtle I really do mean it. Its so subtle it can kill as many people as it does and still it continues and gets a pass while the government debates cannabis lol.

It's always been about money, always. The fact you can stay alive a lot longer smoking and drinking means recurring revenue all around the board.

I had 2 years and 7 months off booze and cocaine after a decade and a half of idiocy. Relapsed back in February and just can't get back on track. It's alcohol for me. Thankfully I ain't done any coke. The shite just sobers me up so I can keep on drinking and make awful choices. I'll need rehab again. I'm just a pussy

I’m ignorant to opioids. I never realized people actually look to get into fentanyl. I thought it was something they get not knowingly in their heroin. You actually looked for fentanyl? Damn.
