Any politician that seriously pushes for it is committing career suicide. The Dems could have easily done it when they held all three branches - they didn't. Politicians only seriously care about one thing. That's getting re-elected.

Your precious President is starting to lean that direction.

I think that's playing right into the hands of the guys that think they shouldn't be legal simply based on the amendment right to bear arms. In other words, the minutemen had to manually load the rifle one slug at a time.

I don't think that will happen. Honestly, though, I think they will probably eventually be banned from new sales.

They don't have the balls to do that. They'll do what CA did and just give you a date to turn them in by. If you're caught with one after that then you'll go to jail.

The minute men had what standard infantry soldiers had. That's the point of the 2A.

A shotgun is not better than an ar for home protection. You're more likely to hit someone else shooting buckshot than 223/556, less penetration with the ar. Now, if you're saying you're a bad shot and want to spray and pray, I get that, but you can't say a shotgun is better. I would rather my ar pistol w suppressor on it. Cuts down on muzzle blast, not making the bang as bad on you inside, and allows me to have 20 rounds at my disposal if need be.

So the Beretta M92 the military carried is the EXACT same pistol I have, should we consider banning that since it is the same version the military carries, not a crippled one. But about the Remington 870? Again, the one I have is the same one I carried while serving. Ban that too?

My last ar was less than $500 new, for a reputable brand. My last shotgun was $1500, and the one before that $800. Fairly inaccurate statements all around in your post.

CA as in California? They asked people to turn them in? har har har. Yeah. I'm sure that's going to happen.

Actually, defense against a tyrannical gov't is exactly the purpose of 2A.

You don't know that.

AR is going to stop corruption then you are whistling Dixie.

Not meant to stop corruption.

Be careful. The government doesn't want you to whistle Dixie.

Do you guys think they will eventually be banned?
No.

Even if they did. . . Australia made guns illegal. They were able to confiscate a whopping 1/3 of guns.

Meaning 2/3rds are still out there in private hands(and their gun homicide rate has declined SLOWER than the US gun homicide rate during the same period, weird)

Yes. If you get caught now with a non compliant rifle, you'll go to prison.

No, what would be practical is to have an EMS with paramedics come to her.

No, I'm implying that things being impractical shouldn't necessarily lead to them being banned.

Pretty much anything depending on the configuration. Especially good for varmints, hogs, etc.

Considering I was responding to Napoleon who specifically said this I think reading comprehension you might need to work on.

And you are confirming our government has no corruption?

Good weapon for mass murders

Not sure if serious.

If the government goes off the rails bad enough to where you need to use your AR-15 ... your AR-15 aint gonna help brother.

But sure, thats reason enough to continue to make them readily available in the face of the egregious use for monthly mass public murders. K

And if the Redcoats had assault rifles and the minutemen muskets....

Today, NFL players would be kneeling while we played God Save The Queen.

Yeah right. I called the medics for my Mom. They arrived about 20 minutes later. Never again. If ever I have a family member that needs immediate and serious medical attention , I'll start the drive myself, and if they can meet me on the way, even better.

What if multiple people are breaking into my home to do me and my family harm? That’s a practical reason to have a larger magazine.

I’d like to know more about this tyrannical government everyone is worried about.

Who’s going to order the US military to turn against civilians? What branch of government is going to sign off on that? Who in the actual military will be following through on that?

I love all these nutjobs claiming 2A is the number one protection we have against tyranny, completely ignoring our 3 part government with built in checks and balances.

I get it --- you want your gunzz because they are Manly and you dont want the government to tell you that you cant have them because WHATS NEXT, MAN ?!?!?

But really, you're not willing to give them up in the face of repeated school shootings each monthly? Wouldn't you want to do anything that might possibly help help curb the shooting of innocent children, even if just the smallest bit?
