I’m in great shape. Definitely need to be careful when sweets are around though, I have a major sweet tooth.

Diet is way more important than exercising if trying to drop fat. You know how far you have to run to burn off a snickers bar? Its much easier to just not eat a snickers bar.

You can’t outwork a bad diet generally.

I have very little time with work and being a parent and spouse.
I have a very demanding job and don’t work from home. I have a 3 year old with another on the way. I have very little in the way of free time to work out absent waking up at 5 in the morning. However, I haven’t gained any weight, am actually about 15-20 pounds lighter than I was in college.
I eat a good breakfast, a light snack around lunchtime, and cook healthy for dinner at least 5x a week. I have maybe 1-2 alcoholic drinks 1 night a week and don’t consume any other liquid calories. My vice is I do eat Chikfila for breakfast a couple times a week because I pass right by it on the way to work. But I don’t just casually snack on junk food really ever and rarely eat sweets.
Diet is the most important thing IMO.

Eating junk food while at my desk
Working 60 hours a week and no time to work out.
Garage where my work out equipment is, is packed full of shite.

Lack of weight needed to be lost.

What no one on the OT Baller forum wants to say, but money. To get higher quality foods with good protein to calories ratios that don't taste like dog food....well, that stuff costs a pretty penny. Good beef, steaks, fish, etc....all is astronomically high and sometimes it's just easier to hand Taco Bell a $10 bill.
I’m going to disagree here somewhat. I don’t think healthy options are overly expensive but if you make it yourself it requires prep time. Unhealthy options are extremely cheap AND REQUIRE LITTLE TO NO PREP TIME.
It is way easier and much faster to pull up to Taco Bell and grab dinner then actually go to the store, get ingredients, and make dinner yourself.

That depends.
It takes me approx 3.5 miles (8:45) to burn off a standard size Snikers bar riding my bike at my normal training speed of 24mph. 8:45 is roughly the time it takes me to eat a Snickers bar.
The fitter you are the faster you can burn off a guilty pleasure and a lot of people who are fit enjoy exercise so for them it is actually easier to exercise off weight. The other end of the spectrum is a person who is morbidly obese is unlikely to have the cardiopulmonary conditioning to support a high caloric burn for more than a few minutes (likely seconds) and for them using exercise as the primary weight loss approach is not feasible. People in the middle can better accomplish the goal with a more balanced approach.

Definitely overindulging. I eat healthy and unhealthy foods. I just eat too much of both... If I count calories, I create a calorie deficit. Guaranteed way to lose weight. Impossible to gain weight if you are consuming less calories than you burn. You just have to eat the right foods in order to get your macro nutrients in. Give it a try; You won't regret it!

This thought is a BIG problem. I mean you don’t need fricking wagyu steak at every meal. You can buy a good amount of chicken, pork , and some red meat with the $10 you are handing to Taco Bell and get a couple meals out of it.

Lack of exercise. I’m not fat at all, but I could do to tighten up. Just gotta start being more active.

Yea, there is some truth to healthy food being more expensive, and this comes from someone who said it wasn’t true for years. There is a caveat tho. You can eat “healthy” food like frozen vegetables, milk, and meat somewhat cheaply. The premium costs come with avoiding gmo, bioengineered, buying only grass fed, non hormone, non shot taking of any kind, non seed oil, etc. truly organic foods. It’s really kind of ridiculous that we are at a point that you have to pay premium for non altered foods.

I can lose weight easy, probably too easy. My problem is staying committed. I just can't keep it off. I'll go from eating super clean for a couple months to eating truck stop fried chicken 3x a week. Never any happy medium for me.

1. Good food
2. I like to cook
3. I like to entertain
4. I like to drink
5. I tell myself that it's ok to be husky and not a skinny bitch
Roll that all into one excuse.
I workout daily, not fat, but got a lil belly.
