That's a LOT more thefts and burglaries than I expect for Belle Meade.

belle meade tn is pretty unreal.

Highland Park and River Oaks are the nicest in Texas

Fairhope is pretty nice too but nothing like the other ones I've mentioned.

tons of people go running/cycling in percy warner park every afternoon and its a honey-pot for stolen purses, bikes, etc. due to all the cars parked there at the entrance to the park who are off on a 45 minute run.

i'd say that accounts for probably 99.9% of those crimes. crimes against actual people living there outside of the park itself are essentially zero.

Belle Meade in Nashville & its not. even. close.

i think the last time someone was killed there was like 20 years ago

A doctor was killed there last year?

ETA: I believe it was a jealous ex-lover or former spouse? It wasn't a random killing.

Comparable to Belle Meade in violent crime.

More so in thefts and burglaries, but that's a product of population density.

crime rate?

I have heard two murders in River Oaks.

one was Doris Angleton in 90s and the other was a domestic issue involving a mentally ill son 7 years ago.

Other than that, River Oaks couldn't be safer. especially considering it is in the heart of Houston.

I mean really within River Oaks which really is San Filipe/Westheimer to the bayou and the Railroad tracks to Shepperd.

For beauty, history and architecture, South of Broad in Charleston, SC is hard to beat.
