Golden Goose Shoes

How stupid can you be to pay $550.00 dollars for tennis shoes with a star on them. Greatest marketing scam of the modern era.

I'm not reading thru 8 pages of this, but has Dinovite been mentioned? Complete shite product IMO, but they advertise the hell out of it and people keep buying it I guess.

Only the specialty drinks are priced like that. A cup of starbucks coffee is like 2-3 bucks and is better than pretty much any comparable chain. That's more an indictment of the lack of good coffee elsewhere than it is praise for Starbucks.

That's true, but for anyone that drinks a decent amount of coffee each day....it's much cheaper and better quality/taste to make your coffee at home.

Almost anything advertised on talk radio!

I made the mistake of ordering 1800flowers . com because they made the deal sound too good to be true. I already hate ordering flowers, and well...

It's basically like adding a middle man to an already expensive product unnecessarily. All they do is contract through a local florist and add an advertising/marketing premium and increase the cost of delivery. I live in a regular suburban area and they claimed it was out of their delivery area and I would need to pay a fee (which I respectfully refused and told them to just cancel). They ultimately agreed to deliver, and the 3 flowers and filler greenery showed up looking like shite because the local florist isn't putting their rep out there and have 1800flowers as a cover.

Felt dumb and gullible. Lesson learned. Just call a local florist and get better flowers and service if you NEED delivery. Otherwise go to the nearest grocery florist and save 60%. My wife was pissed and complained (which did ZERO good), and told me to NEVER order her flowers again and just buy the grocery flowers.

Sherry's berrys? HAHAHAA. They make $30+shipping for a dozen chocolate strawberries sound cheap on the radio, and people buy it. On special occasions my local Winn Dixie sells packs of 6 giant custom chocolate strawberries made in front of you with whatever you want on them for less than $10.

My Pillow? A bunch of throw away memory foam cuttings stuffed in a sack. Genius marketing and production that is priced at a premium for a cheap product.

grocery flowers

Trader Joe's is my go-to. I think the most expensive tier they have is $12(?) and the rest are lower. They look better than 90% of grocery stores. A friend works there and told me they get the flowers delivered fresh every morning.

Whole Foods has a nice flower department too, but isn't as cheap as TJs.

If you guys can't see the value of a cheap healthy protein with a neutral flavor profile that you can transform to any flavor profile you can think of to use in any style of dish then I dont know what to tell you. Being a carrier for spices is the reason you use chicken in a dish. You think sweet and sour sauce would taste great with beef? Hell no. Lemon pepper on steak? Yuck. You going to order boneless beef nuggets with Asian Zing or Mango Habanero sauce? Hell no.

What they're saying is that other parts of the chicken, such as thighs, are better in 90% of the things you use breasts for. Not that chicken as a whole is terrible.

Not that they are bad products, b/c they aren't, but Yeti and Apple convince people to spend a lot more on their products than their competition.

For sure (I do that). Although I will say getting truly comparable fresh coffee and making it at home, if you drink a fair amount of coffee, isn't cheap. I definitely save over daily Starbucks when you compare oz to oz, but it's probably not as huge a difference as some think.

you can buy decent coffee for around $5/lb at the grocery store if you're not too picky about brands. I go between lavazza, peets, starbucks and community depending on what's on sale that week.

Lots of good answers. I have to agree on 1-800-Flowers. Tried once, came in a day late. (Happy Day-After-Your-Birthday, Dear!) Also came in not assembled, wtf? Got my money back so quick on that shite.
