I don't know about all that, but let me tell my passport application story:
I was invited to join a large family group in Paris and surroundings for a 12 day trip. All expenses paid, except for airfare. The trip was going to begin in ~8 weeks.
I didn't have a passport, but I quickly completed the application, paid the "expedited" processing fee (allegedly 3 weeks, I believe) and started waiting. After four weeks, I called and asked what the delay might be. I'm a US citizen, never arrested or any other trouble with the law, 45 years old (at the time) ... seemed like a formality to me. The guy on the phone says, "We need more information." I had already met or exceeded all the requirements listed on the application, so I asked "Like what? Could you be more specific?" He said, "Well, more educational records." I'd already sent copies of my high school, college, and graduate degree diplomas, and told him so. I was kind of puzzled and asked "How far back do I need to go?" His response was "As far back as you think we need."
What kind of bullshite is that? But I got my arse over to St Philip Neri and requested 40 year old academic records from K - 5. One of the secretaries made a crack about security clearances and FBI interviews, I told her I was just trying to get a passport. They were amused. I wasn't.
My "expidited" passport arrived three days before my scheduled departure date. frick the State Dept.

Lead ban.
And since you reminded me, I used to cast my own lead figurines (cue the laughter) and they forced the removal of lead and the switch to I think either tungsten or something else. The problem is that when you're dealing with very small details, lead (it was a mixture, not pure lead) had a particular ability to render very small details in miniatures 1.5-2" tall, which the replacement metal didn't do well. EPA no care.
And, let's talk about asthma. The EPA restricted the use of a propellant in albuterol inhalers. Because the CFCs in someone that has restricted airways taking a puff is going to cause the sun to explode, or something. They forced the change, and ex-GF was very clear the new kind didn't work as well as the old CFC propellant. She's still alive, but think about that risk/reward calculation that they made.
The EPA has f@*ed everyone in the country, repeatedly, through administrative rule making, usually.

SSA
Call in line takes forever to get a real person on the line and then it's coin flip if that live person has a clue. From my personal experience the field offices are even worse, or at least the one in Ellick is. They could care less if they can help. My last visit, the fat slob reared back in her chair and continued to groom her extra long glued on nails.

Homeland Security has recently overtaken the FBI. And that’s saying a lot.
Between the insufferable TSA and the assistance given to illegal aliens to get in this country they can eat a dick.

IRS sent me a check for some reason. I tried to find out why. I cashed it, but left it in savings, due to misgivings.
Nine months later, the IRS eventually blamed me for cashing a check they shouldn't have sent (valid only for 90 days!), charged me a penalty, and interest.
There are meters of banking regulations (printed), alone. There is a book called Three Felonies A Day which showcases how any American can be rung up for felonies every day of their lives.

I think it’s gotta be a3 way tie, weaponized fbi, unconstitutional atf, and the taxation by money grubbing politicians through the irs shows the absolute wickedness we have going on and really cannot do anything about it

My sister works overseas for the State Department. I don’t get the impression that any of that is remotely true. I don’t think most people know what functions all these agencies serve in other countries.

I see that hating all these agencies is somehow in vogue with certain demographics, but I truly don’t get any of it. I have a lot of family and friends that are ex military and work for various agencies.
What percentage of people have had any real life dealings with any of these agencies? The hate really comes across as some conspiracy theory boogeyman stuff. Most of the people I know in these agencies used to vote republican.

The DoD blamed State for the Afghanistan surrender debacle. I have family members that have worked extensively for State or their agencies or contractors connected to them for decades.
State, like D.C., is full of career climbers. I trust them less than the CIA or the FBI. It would be instructive to see how many people from each university are engaged at State, particularly overseas. I mean, these f#*@* morons flew an LGBT and a BLM flag at our embassies, regardless of local sensibilities. But the same embassy will tell me my 10 year old sister can't wear shorts in the middle east? LOL.

Because they have become drones. They will not uphold the law for their fellow citizens. But just follow whatever BS orders they are given. One step above what the Nazis and Communists do.
