Eh, about half or more no longer exist due to buyouts/mergers, like the car dealer, the finance companies, the bank. Merged/sold and forgotten. The food places are just kinda the nature of those, small businesses that fold when the owner retires/dies. The ladies clothing went under due to the nature of fashion and style and what's trendy, and it was a Mall based overall marketing strategy. Malls died, styles changed, what's Hot and Not changed, poof! They're gone. (The Limited is who it was) The collection agency was due to illegal big time finance spearheaded by a former FDIC bank examiner playing fast and loose with a new type of packaging of finance that resulted in a larger bankruptcy than Enron money wise. The old hospital was timing. 1st time ever in debt to revamp and go state-of-the-art surgery was immediately prior to the economic collapse which also altered the clientele base as insurance industry changed at about the same time further altering the financial situation. Without the housing crash ripples it would still be in business. The small surgery center chain was a prime example of letting personal politics get in the way of business. Top management swore that Obamacare would never go into effect. Once it did they were doomed due to setting up their finances and operations based on the presumption about Obamacare.
