Columbus to Moran, Wyoming

Exactly a 24 hour drive on most days with traffic added in

Have done it thrice in under 23 hours by speeding heavily and never taking a real break.

Its terrible

Toronto to New Orleans.

Sorta mulling buying a old Landcruiser (91-96) and driving down to a friend's in Belize. That would be the longest.

Slidell to Glacier National Park (Montana) and back. Longest drive was 18 hours from Slidell to Omaha with a 1 hour layover in Missouri for the wife and kids to visit a cavern.

Houston to Tempe Arizona for me. Close to 18 hours straight around 1100 miles. The scenery on this drive was incredible and I hope to do something like this in the future again.

What is there to see between Houston and El Paso?

Fort Bragg, NC to San Diego.

Stopped in Alabama to see family.
Stopped in Shreveport to spend the night.
Drove to Odessa spent the night.
Stopped in El Paso to see Army buddies and play golf.
Spent a couple of days in Tucson. Sonora Desert Museum was awesome.

Then got temporary quarters for a week or so on Coronado Island.
Then moved household goods to Scripps Ranch.

Longest straight shot without stopping (other than gas and food): Tucson to Indianapolis. 25 hours or so.

Longest total trip: Birmingham to DC to Chicago to Seattle.

There are highways all the way through Mexico and in to Belize. You would only need a Landcruiser if your friend's place was hard to get to. Also, if you Landcruiser breaks down, it might be hard to find parts because Toyota didn't go to Mexico until around 2002.

New Orleans to Belize would be about a 35 hour drive.
