30 minutes.
at safety meeting on first day, they were told point blank there was a zero tolerance for dropped objects.
half hour later they were tossing shot off top of scaffolding.
said “we didn’t drop anything. we threw it”

Company meeting in Vegas, guy proceed to get hammered on the flight, coworker called when they landed and told me they almost kicked him off the plane.
Go downstairs to meet him at check-in, no where to be found, coworker left him after arrival at hotel. Went outside, spoke to bell man and found him sleeping in the parking garage with one shoe.
Needless to say he was on a flight home the very next day. See ya, Vegas baby!

At my last job I saw girl get hired that quit in like 6 hrs. The first day she had her online training/orientation and didn't make it the whole day
After my freshman year I got a summer job at Domino's. I made it an hour into the initial 2 hour training session and told them I couldn't take it. I went and got a job a the parish dog pound instead.

Idk but I saw a new ADON rise to the DON position on the day he came to orient for the ADON position.
This sounds like something nurse would say...

1st day. Had a guy celebrated getting hired and passed his drug test. Went out and partied and did drugs. Had a drug test when he showed up for his first day and did not pass the test. Sent home on the spot.

When I worked for Chouest we had something similar happen. Guy got hired for some kind of engineering management role- pretty good job. He flew to New Orleans the night before his orientation, and went out partying. They breathalyzed him at the physical and he failed.
People think, I don't use drugs, the physical will be no problem. It's not that simple.

We hired a new guy after thanksgiving. He worked a couple of days, got his new computer, then went to rehab and stopped responding, so was let go a couple of days later.

Seen a girl a few hours into training as receptionist on first day.... said she was going to lunch at chik fil a, which is literally next door to our place.... she never came back and didn’t answer phone
Not sure if CFA hired her or Willy wonka got her but she never answered calls, boss was willing to pay her too for few hours

2 days, new hire "forgot" to mention his felony assault...on a police officer. I guess he thought it wasn't that important.
If he had told you, would you still have hired him?

Makes me think of Mike Price from Alabama.

pretty much on spot.
Dude at work was getting a long troll, quite often.
One morning they hit him hard, and he stated yelling through a fab shop, "I ain't anybody's nagger".
Several people heard it and confirmed it to HR. He left that day before lunch.

If he would have disclosed this during the interview process, he would not have been considered for employment.

We hired a mechanic, he was supposed to start on a Monday.
His drug screen and on-boarding were completed by the Thursday before.
The Friday before, he shows up unannounced, parks in a clearly marked “no parking area” where heavy equipment routinely operates.
He gets out of his personal vehicle with no PPE on and is eating an apple.
He starts walking across the pavement, finishes the apple, and drops it onto the ground.
He wanders over to an active large piece of machinery and starts talking to the operator.
He got terminated three days before he started.
Addition by subtraction.

Saw a guy on a forklift back into a fire hydrant.
Made it 4 days.
I fired a guy one time who was a total frick up. Told him to never come back and if he managed to have kids they were never welcome either. Not sure how firing unborn kids would qualify.

Several years ago a guy who was two cubicles down from me was hired... And three days later a female coworker passed by and saw that he had porn on his computer. About 30 mins later HR walked in with a box. He got fired.
A guy who knew him said the reason he got that job was because he got fired from his other job.
