It’s at this castle in Sulphur, LA. The moat keeps all the trash at bay.

Little Mexico is a nickname for the Mexican named streets subdivision between Jane and Daspit streets.

That would be the Garden District in NOLA.
I'm talking Garden District strictly defined, bounded by St Charles, Magazine, Jackson and Louisiana.

Weird thread.
There are still a handful of gorgeous small towns in Louisiana with a real sense of community. Just have to get away from I-10.
St Francisville and New Roads are good examples that have maintained their viability and appeal without thousands of production homes being thrown together in their area. They are both close enough to Baton Rouge to stay afloat, but far enough away to avoid being a generic suburb. St Francisville is more like a traditional southern town that works hard to preserve its history. New Roads is more Catholic and more “Cajun”, with more festivals and Mardi Gras.
I always thought Thibideaux and some of the Bayou Lafourche communities were a nice area. Have not been there in 10 years though. They seem like cool places to grow up though.
The north shore is nice, but over developed IMO. My wife is from that area. When we visit, we are always surprised at the traffic. It is starting to feel like south Baton Rouge with all the development.

My brother used to work at this golf course. We called it stonehenge. Great place to get stoned and play golf
