Bought a $300 tube on a Friday at Dick's to pull my kids behind my boat for the weekend. Deflated it and returned it on Monday. Don't feel sorry about it one bit because it's Dick's.

Had a friend in college who would save his empty coke 2-liters and refill them up in the dining hall.

Tipped a cent at George's (overpass) because the girl taking the order was an absolute bitch. Apparently answering two questions regarding a burger was asking for her to lay down her life or perform rocket surgery or something.
I've only been there once, and the person behind the counter was a complete bitch to me because I wasn't aware you take an order pad from the bar and write down your own order. How dare I speak to her! Who the heck is supposed to know this when they've never been somewhere before?
Pastime does the same thing and was just as rude about it. I just don't get how people are mean to customers that are first timers.
George's on Highland is nothing like this. Their employees are very nice.

any time I enter a dining establishment, I promptly yell out, "WHAT'S THE PROCEDURE HERE??" just in case

Must be really cheap. I like to think of myself as a budget beer aficionado, and I've never even heard of Schaefer beer.

used Wal Marts return policy against them
Nothing wrong with that.
I got a Keurig as a gift when I was in college. The thing stopped working one day and Keurig sent me a free replacement. I didn't have to send the whole thing back, they only asked for the assembly that holds the K-cup.
I got the original one working again, bought the reusable filter to replace the piece I returned, and sold the replacement machine unopened.

I didn't have a car my junior year of college. I finally talked a buddy of mine to bring me to Walmart for groceries. I filled the buggy up pretty full since I didn't know when I would be able to get back to the store, and planned to use my credit card to buy the groceries. Just as the cashier finished ringing it up to about $120 or whatever it was, that's when I realized I forgot my wallet at home. My poor buddy had to buy the groceries and I didn't have any cash at home to give him. It took a few trips to plasma bank to pay him back after that one.

Was visibly upset with my wife for ordering an unsweet tea at a restaurant instead of a water
My dad used to make all 4 of us get waters in restaurants. He's not hard up for money or anything.. just get on board with an extra $2-$3 per person on drinks.
Now I imagine he would be happy if I'd just get a soda since I order wine at dinner.

Something I do to this day:
I found a 10 ft phone charging cord at Walgreen's about 3-4 years ago, around 15 bucks. It wore out within months. Went and bought exact same cord, returned old cord in same box the following day saying "i got a new phone" and got a refund.
I've done this 3 times now, about to do it for the fourth
so, paid 15 bucks for 4 phone charging cords

Freshman year at LSU, on the 20 meal plan so on my own for Sunday night dinner. Take a mini box of cereal from the cafeteria one day, save it for Sunday night. Would buy a carton of milk though...

At LSU my roommate and I forgot to pay the electric bill at our apartment complex one time. We solved this small nighttime inconvenience by running an extension cord to an outlet in the hallway next to our entry door - in order to play video games and give ourselves some light.

Worked at some kids bday party place in high school that would give the color wristbands to the parties. Bars used same wrist bands. Would go hit up penny pitcher night with the right wrist band and collect all the pitchers to return for the $5 deposits.

When I had a meal plan in college I would use a to-go box and fill it up with 2 chicken sandwiches, 2 wraps, and 3 or 4 slices of pizza. Would get 3 or 4 meals out of the 1 meal ticket used.

Walt O’Reilly I did the same. Fast food places ask for water and then get a soft drink.

Worked at my uncle's BBQ joint in high school with several friends. It was on a city line, so I got to co-mingle with girls at the other school, very much a profit.
By far the lowest paying job I ever had, but by far the best. There were a lot of "perks" in that job.

Stapled the soles of my boots back on with a staple gun and wrapped the toes with duct tape. Wore them like that for about 6 months.
