What is the best winter coat? Living in Louisiana, I haven’t had a winter coat in probably about 10 years. What’s the best all around winter coat these days? What about the best winter coat for use with professional attire?

Us big baws don’t need to wear a coat. I always laugh at the skinny bird body baws shivering in their north faces in March when I’m wearing a white t shirt and shorts. This goes back to cavemen times when the stronger big baws would cruise the land hunting mammoth and feeding the tribe and the skinny baws would pick berries with the women

I have one "lighter" coat and also a full-blown parka.

Both are Marmot.

I love them, they feel lightweight enough but keep me super warm. A lined hood is key. I live in Boston, so it gets very cold.

If you're truly looking to buy, now is definitely the time. The deals in the summer are crazy, and I didn't pay full price for any of my winter gear because I bought everything in the warmer months.

I used to travel a lot to colder climates during the winter and this is what I have.

I rarely wear it now that I don't travel for work. I honestly rarely wear a jacket during the winters in South Louisiana. Maybe twice per year.

One of the best Winter jackets i ever had was a Nautica coat with down feathers in it.

It was so fricking comfortable, girlfriend back then bought it for me. Warm as hell, looked great and was perfect for cold arse nights.
