I drove an Armada recently. I couldn’t find a comfortable driving position to save my life. The armrests were too low relative to the seat. It was as if the truck was designed for a very short person.

The engine also sounded like bolts in a blender.

I would get a Yukon.

I put 224,000 on one expedition and 177,000 on my second. Incredible vehicle.

Expedition is greatly improved with the ecoboost, don't buy an older one with the 5.4l V8.

Buy a suburban if you don't like fords. Sequoia is statistically more likely to last longer, but they also don't see a lot of the abuse that used domestics do in rural areas where there are no foreign dealerships.

The only answer to this thread is a Tahoe or Yukon. The motors and trannies just flat out don’t give if you do basic oil changes for 250k miles and have all the features you could want.

Well, Japs are generally shorter than Americans.

Hyundai’s new Palisade is extremely nice......
Never been a big Hyundai fan until I purchased a Genesis but my wife saw the Palisade and thought we’d give it a try. We both love it. She went from a Yukon to a 4Runner and then a Armada. The Palisade is our favorite.

The Sequoias with the 4.7 V8 are just getting broke in at 250K

That's nice if you drive a lot of miles often.

Most people that purchase SUVs are soccer moms that drop their kids off at school and practice. It would take 15 years to drive more than 250k miles.

Most soccer moms will not keep their vehicle that long.

What swayed you? I’ve been looking at both expedition and suburban. Leaning expedition but hesitant over the Ford. It does beat out Suburban in almost every category though at least in theory.

Our last 2 vehicles were an Expedition and an Armada. Both went well over 200k. No issues at all. Just changed oil, tires, and batteries when needed.

I had 2 Expeditions with that engine both go well over 200,000 miles. The second one had a lot of peripheral stuff break on it though, mostly electrical stuff. The 99 one was at 240,000 miles and still running great when I got rid of it.

Expedition was solid from my research.

Tahoe or Yukon if you don’t plan on needing the third row. Their interiors are smaller then you’d think.
