FYI, the Chevy Traverse has more interior room than the Tahoe/Yukon if you are considering one of those.

Well the Traverse is a 4 door van so that’s to be expected.

How does anyone buy this eyesore.

I like them. IMO they look a lot better than the hearse looking Tahoe/Suburban.

What swayed you? I’ve been looking at both expedition and suburban. Leaning expedition but hesitant over the Ford. It does beat out Suburban in almost every category though at least in theory.

Driving it honesty.. I was a needing to replace my '16 Suburban and when I went to look at getting a new one I decided to give the Expo a shot. I was never a fan of the Expo mainly b/c my Dad had one of the late 90's one that was hot garbage and that was really my only experience with them outside a bubby of mine he has the Model before this new one.

Main detractor of the Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon is that is aging platform and next to a New Expo it just doesn't compare. GM not releasing the new Tahoe/Suburban this year has probably been killing their bottom line and for us Suburban buyers spend that kinda cash on something that's been out for 6+years now and there's a bigger better and no new Suburban in sight it wasn't a hard choice.

Some of the other things i love about the new Expo is that it feels a little bigger on the inside, the turbo'd 6 is extremely peppy and the ride/drivability was just impressive.

Hope that helped.

The other SUVs we considered

Toyota Sequoia.. Cool looking if you were getting the TRD spec.. Gas mileage being Garbage/Garbage changed my mind..
Infiniti QX.. Beautiful interior, but that about it.. Mileage is terrible and I'm not a huge fan of the way it looks on the outside.. Plus its just a fancy Nissan so I don't get the love for this SUV..

Infinity QX80

Rented this thing twice. Rides like shite and handles even worse. Very nice luxury, but performed poorly. Terrible gas mileage too.
Expedition is tops IMO, very comfortable ride and the eco-boost gives you all the power you’ll ever need. Tahoe/Suburban second.

It does. That's about my experience. the Ford beats the Suburban on paper all day long. Drove way better, more comfortable etc.

Suburban seats were digging into my thigh. Could not get comfortable.

Chevy knows the issue. The Chevy salesmen and mgr, when I told them I was shopping Expeditions, were both like "oh, ok" and looked defeated. There selling points were shite like "There's a reason this is the most expensive car on the lot" "There is a reason all the limos are being replaced by Suburbans".

I would consider waiting on the new suburban, but no guarantee it comes out anytime, much less soon.

Sequoia and Infiniti can't compete with the cargo space. Sequoia sound system and interior is a joke for $50k+, if you can even find one at a dealer.

Thanks!

We went to the dealer thinking we wanted the Land Cruiser. The cargo space and 2nd row is really lacking so we went with the Sequoia.

My only knock on the Sequoia is it is lacking available options that I believe are remedied in the 2020 version vs our 2018.
