You don't really want to live in town per se, you would want to live on or around Black Bayou/Cypress Lake, or in one of the subdivisions around Palmetto CC.

Jackson or St Francisville- Close to city. Hills. Money

Woodville- because it is close enough to La. Border.

Jonesville - cause the soybeans grow well and Larto Lake has slab sac a lait.

good schools
15-20 min to I10
small, quiet, friendly (mostly)
lots of history
growing, but not too fast yet
hunting & fishing
nice sports park
pricy real estate

I live in St. Francisville and love it. We finally have a great grocery store and have always had good restaurants, great schools, great golf course, great hunting. Unfortunately, the town is full.
