Vermillion Parish School board is threatening to close Gueydan High School due to the budget being upside down on insurance costs.

From what I am hearing it's more of a desperate measure of last resort for the parish and is not a realistic option. I doubt they would consider busing everyone to Kaplan or Crowley if they were to close down.

I like Eunice and Ville Platte. Lots of cajuns, good cooking/meat markets. Plenty of land to get a big spread.

What is good about Sterlington?

How about farmerville or springhill?

I met a girl from Jena in college. Probably one of the dumbest people I've ever met. Had a 3.9 GPA from the high school in Jena

I grew up in Ruston and loved it. Several good Golf Courses within 20 miles (Arcadia, D'Arbonne etc), two nice lakes for sking/fishing, nice hunting.

Good Christian people

If you don't hunt, fish or do drugs, not much to do here.
