I'll go with Bordelonville, outside Marksville in Avoyelles where my people are from

Vermillion Parish School board is threatening to close Gueydan High School due to the budget being upside down on insurance costs.

It's a nice little Mayberry-like town, but you can't have a town without a school.

I live in St. Francisville and love it. We finally have a great grocery store and have always had good restaurants, great schools, great golf course, great hunting.

How are things going at the Bluffs? I know it changed ownership (again) a few months ago...have their been any meetings etc. where the new ownership has discussed their intentions/directions for the course and community?

I wouldnt consider Madisonville a small town, that goes for pretty much all of STP. Before the migration of yats maybe but not now.

How small are we talking? They don't even have a stop light anywhere in Madisonville.

Coworker told me last week that his buddy bought a place in there for $105/sq ft

Probably won't ever sell it though
