I am an F-16 man but watching the 15 and 22s in FL makes it a tough call.

Never forget the day one limped into Belle chasse

I remember that vividly.

I was actually playing golf in Belle Chase (I forget the course) when that thing took off. Loudest roar ever from a jet plane.

It got above the tree line, when nose up and just hauled ads. Gone in seconds.

A6 Intruder has always been my favorite. There is one on display in the museum at the uss Alabama among a bunch of other cool aircraft.

The A-10 is one of the most impressive aircrafts in the history of aviation, but good looking it is not.

I went to the old location in 1984. Could have spent the day there.

You ever seen, or should I say heard, a U2 take off? I have seen one on climb out from Ellington here in Houston on multiple occasions and you can hear that thing for a good 10-15 minutes. Never heard anything like that. Must be the loudest plane ever developed to be able to hear it for that long.

The foundation of what commercial airliners are today likewise one of the workhorses of US military during WW2

My favorite, the P-38 has been mentioned. So have all the other unusual top pics. So I’ll list some that I like that oftentimes go overlooked.

Grumman TBF Avenger

B-25 Mitchell

PBY Catalina

Douglas TBD Devastator

B-26 Maruader

B-24 Liberator

I could go on and on. I may be an old tanker, but I love planes.
