What is it about big trucks and having to ride right on your arse?

I was going 10-15 mph over the speed limit on a two lane rd (our lane And oncoming traffic). Still riding my arse where their whole grill is taking up my back window. If a deer or dog had jumped out and I needed to brake at all he would have been in my back seat.

I see this regularly from people driving big vehicles.

I see it from vehicles of all types. If I'm going 9 over and passing 3 or 4 vehicles riding my tail ain't going to make me pass em quicker.

I see this regularly from all size vehicles. However, younger women/girls are the most common drivers.

It's the law of Dog on Duty.

Fun fact: That particular truck was in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation as well as Kurt Russel and Goldie Hawn's classic Overboard.

It should. If you are slowing down traffic in the left lane to pass at a snail's pace then you are fricking up.

it is either this or some massive lifted truck that drives super slow. Like they can't afford to hit the gas.

I chuckle a little, when i see these big stupid trucks on the street. Jacked up, big fricking tires. Limo tint. Grapefruit shooter exhaust, ghetto-ish sound system, pipes. I expect to see some snotty little high schooler or 20 year old with daddy's money in them. But without fail, almost every time it's some late 30's/40 something driving it.

And if they drove normal, it would be different. But every time, they drive either on your arse, or they are revving their pipes under an overpass. And most of the time, they are parked at twin peaks.

Growing up in small town louisiana, seeing these big stupid trucks was not uncommon, but it was high school kids who had their trucks ragged out. It's mostly just immature adults. Most of their finances are wrapped up in truck payments, which is fine if that's your thing. I just find it to be childish.

Because 95% of people who drive big trucks are douche bags.

Big trucks as in 18 wheelers? Or like big diesel trucks that is best use as a working truck (farming, construction, etc), but people who don't really need them still buy anyway?

People who drive 18 wheelers are only focused on getting to places as quick as possible because time is literally money, that they lose sense of everything else.

That's exactly what it is most of the time.

Manchildren that never grew out of their High School phase.

Of course, there is also the BMW douche(much more common up north) and the Mustang/Challenger douche that think they are LARPING the latest F&F film.

Most people keep enough distance by making sure you can still see the rear tires of the vehicle in front of you.

Being higher up in a truck probably shortens this distance without really thinking about it.

Or there are just more aholes driving big trucks.
