Once, when LSU used to play the old Alex Box Stadium I was driving south on Nicholson Dr. LSU was playing at the moment and I was listening to the game on the radio. I hear Jim Hawthorne say “There’s a deep drive to right field!” I look up and “Bam! The ball takes one bounce and hits my truck. I stop at the red light, jump out, and grab the ball.

Congratulations on that! But since this is the OT I have to ask if you are now 26 or 46 before I can give it an official rating.

We won the grand prize in the Ralph Lauren contest. The prize was an all expense paid trip for two to Machu Pichu. It included mountain lodge stays during the 50 mile trek. It was awesome. The trip was probably worth about $15,000 at the time.

Got hit in the head with a foul ball at minor league game.
Lost track of it in the direct sun. Put my left hand on my head and turned to protect my daughters with my right side.
Smashed me squarely on my wedding ring. My finger swelled up to the size of a banana. Ended up in emergency room where the cut off my wedding ring.

Aced a par 3 the first time my wife golfed with me. She wasn't impressed.

For the post of how old I am, I am 61 now and unfortunately have been diagnosed with cancer again. Totally different than the one when I was young. Stage 4 mestatic prostate cancer. No cure. Given about 18 months.

What is an event that occurred to you despite the odds being incredibly low?
Won an all-expenses paid trip from Nike and Dick's from filling out a little card in store and putting it in a drop box.

I always assumed those were just to gather contact info, but lo and behold...
