What is a good brand for thermal or hiking socks?

Haven't tried those but I can attest to smart wool and wig wam.

Eta...op, make sure you get merino wool no matter the brand.

Wearing some Darn Tough work boot socks now with extra support or something like that and they're my favorite socks ever so I imagine that their hiking socks are legit too.

Any good merino wool sock. Smart wool is a brand of merino wool company.

Well, I'm not a hiker but I live in Boston and it's been crazy cold and yesterday was really snowy.

I was gifted some Bombas for Christmas and I would absolutely recommend them. They are thick, warm, durable and moisture-wicking...I got snow in both of my boots and my feet stayed completely dry. They are as awesome as advertised.

I've always used Darn Tough and Smart Wool. I like the latter for when it's cold out. Darn Tough is an appropriate name though, they just don't seem to quit.
