When someone calls you boss they are either about to try to fleece you or they are just trying to brush you off.

Same here. I was in the Army, in a fraternity, and held the flashlight for my dad as a kid. There’s nothing you can say that I haven’t heard before.

I hate being flipped off. A story I'm not proud of but true. Early 80s on I10 in Florida, I had a 4wheeler flip me the bird out his sunroof. He then slowed and kept taunting the middle finger out the sunroof. I radioed (CB) ahead and got two truckers to run side by side to block him. I caught up in the left lane and took him out onto the shoulder of the road then grass. I was stopped by state police about 20 minutes later. I'm not proud that happened but that's how angry I used to get when flipped off.

Nothing really stands out, but I can remember a couple of times when I did something really stupid, and my old man calling me a jackass.

None.

If you let words hurt you, then you have given someone else power over you.

When you don't allow someone else to hurt you with words, then you actually piss them off by not being bothered by what that person said.

I really can’t think of an insult that would make impact me.

Obviously hurtful things can be said, but it matters more who it’s coming from rather than what is said.

If it’s someone that isn’t close family (ie, my wife, parents, etc…), then I can’t think of anything that would really bother me. I’d probably laugh at most things.

In all honestly, nothing really. I just remind myself I'm not defined by someone else's opinion of me and if someone lacks the character and integrity as to voice an insult it speaks more of them than anything else. Now, if an adult insults my son, the algorithm changes dramatically.
