The reason is poverty

You see this on a smaller scale in the urban ghettos of the world where thugs are idolized. Gang leaders prey on downtrodden youth who feel powerless and are angry at their station in life. Most gangs are locally affililiated much like tribes.

That sounds fine given post industrial times influence on Africa. Sub-Saharan Africa pre industrial times was in the stone age. This is as late as the 1880's. Why would you expect so much from such an early/ uncivilized culture that lacks iron and coal?

There was a movement of the acs (American colonization society) in the 1820's that predicted the end of slavery and sought to establish a new homeland for the inevitable free black population that would suddenly arise. Their goal was to relocate these free blacks in western Africa (modern day Liberia.)

To be fair, I live in Louisiana, the 12th of all the United States of Africa.

I'm certainly not saying it would be easy. In fact it would take both a political movement and war that would rival WWII. One simple victorian society could have never forced the changes neccessary to achieve unity

A pretty shitty and ignorant statement. You're essentially equating all black people worldwide to the black poor here in the US.

I agree with you that there are too many citizens living lazy, welfare funded lives in the USA but that does not mean a full continent of 1.2B people live by those same flawed values.
