Haha I hear ya. I know enough about electricity to be a little dangerous but this one was above my pay grade.

YouTube Premium is like $10 per month. More than worth it to watch everything ad-free. I think it’s the best value among all streaming/tv apps.

Ads?

I buy premium for my whole family. No ads AND Youtube music along with a few other things we don't use. But I use it to fix about everything also use it to troubleshoot things. Last thing I used it to fix was a pallet scale and how to troubleshoot the load cells and then how to calibrate the new indicator.

That and the moderation of grok and others has gotten ridiculous. I can't even make an alternate version of the blazing saddles campfire scene.

Seriously, I was making a 1:30 video in the style of the Real Ghostbusters for a client and Firefly stopped generating because I apparently violated the violent imagery block because of the nozzles on the proton packs. Looked too much like a gun.

Learned how to weld. Not great welds, but welds nonetheless.

My son bought his first home which was older at a discount. We then walked into his hall bathroom and it had 3 layers of wall paper with paint on top and the wall paper had begun to peel.....badly. Ripped down the wall paper with also took with it thefirst layer of sheet rock.

So basically had to replaster the whole bathroom. Did the whole thing by watching YouTube.

Note: while it turned out just fine, do not attempt this on your own like I did for my son. It's a real pain in the arse.

I’m still not sure how a 12V battery is connected to a security system that is plugged into a 120V wall outlet, but all I know is it’s fixed and I felt like I could solve all the world’s problems after that.

I'm an electrical engineer with experience designing large scale multi-family condos, commercial, educational, industrial, and hospitals. I've designed operating rooms. Unless you've improperly described the issue, then I can't figure it out either. This is probably going to bother me for weeks until I convince myself that you're wrong about something.

I whistled right past that graveyard cause there ain't no way....

It’s absolutely worth every penny. YouTube premium is life-changing. It’s only $18. It’s very liberating that whenever I wanna watch something it just plays. No delay.

I have been paying for it for about 3 years and still have an arse of ads and breaks in videos. I have canceled it several times to no avail. I think I need a YouTube video showing me how to either cancel or get the damned ads to stop

I have fixed a lot of shite watching YouTube videos - it is a fantastic resource even if you know what you are doing or think you do.

I have taken to coming up with all manner of ideas about ways to do things - I do a little arduino coding and I have learned a heaping pile about it and electronics that I should have known. Great resource
