Received the letter and have emailed and told them I have had a trip to Houston scheduled since last year. Cannot be rescheduled. No response as of yet. Told them I’d be available following week if needed. Anyone know anyone that’s skipped it and what happened?

In Louisiana? They'll arrest you 7 years later when they process the paperwork.

Is there a reason you are choosing to not call them and speak to someone at the courthouse? I would think they would be able to give you an answer easier than random people on tigerdroppings.

The government is extremely understanding and accommodating. I'm sure they just moved you out of the pool of potential jurors until such a time as it is convenient for you. I honestly wouldn't worry too much about it.

You can usually call and explain your situation and they will just reschedule you for another pool.

Just call the number and tell them you can’t serve. I didn’t even get asked why not. They just told me my name would go back in the pool for a future date

I've been registered to vote since I was 18. 23 years and never been called.
