How does everyone know what other people make? Does she tell you? Do you ask? Isn't people's salaries their private business?
Oh well. The only person that knows what I make is my wife and that is only because she is my partner and I guess my CPA. No one else and it isn't their business.

Joking aside...In all fairness, I am not the average RN. I am in a specialized area and I take a lot of call. Lastly, my pay is a hell of a lot less impressive if you look at housing costs in the area. But I do love my job and have a blast at work so there's that.

I take a lot of call but I rarely go in. I don't mind "most" days. It's still a very nice way to have tons of time with my family and here it pays half of your hourly. Wish it could be in a different locale but nothing is perfect.

I am an RN. Taking call just means I carry a beeper and if they need me they page me. I like it because I can be at home or asleep and still get paid.

My wife's daughter told her how much she makes, I know how much my kids make, seems normal to me.
