Good luck on the recovery. We do this procedure very frequently and once it heals, it’s a true game changer for patients. The first few days are thé worst!
Some good recs here. I would add that Kendall college has a dining room. Run by the culinary students. Food and service was excellent and super reasonable for the quality of meal. Loved Chicago

Killer hog steak seasoning. Love it
Was 2nd vehicle to pull over at an MVA. 16 passenger church van from North LA went off the road on I-49 and flipped several times before coming to rest against the tree line. One young lady was ejected about 50 yards. She was clearly deceased when I checked her. We helped extract a couple of others from the van before first responders got there. Also sucked helping carry that stretcher back up the incline to the interstate. That is much steeper than it looks from the road.

My policy with progressive is same. Definitely handcuffed to it given the low deductible which we used to replace roof a couple of years ago after one of the storms
Found some travel vids from Provence that were in French and led me down some rabbit holes. I did see Jourdan on a program about Catholic religion in France as well as a local priest who went to school my my wife.
Know Jourdan well. He’s a good dude. He works hard trying to preserve our Cajun culture. Not many folks teach their kids to speak French anymore. His shows certainly don’t meet the expectation of what Cajun French music was when I was growing up but they are fun; much more energy. My wife’s cousin and another friend are both in his band. I’ve been working on learning more “Parisian French” lately as I grew up in Evangeline parish and my grandparent spoke only French and so I’ve been watching lots of French tv programs. I see Jourdan in just about all of them that have anything to do with Cajun country.
Graduated from Chataignier high. Now an elementary school and students attend Mamou or Ville Platte. Same with Vidrine. Bayou chicot is elementary and kids attend pine prairie. Seeing many names of small schools like Atlanta who I remember from basketball. They killed it in class C back in the 90’s.
Wife’s cousin fishes the circuit. My heart dropped when I saw this earlier. Thankful he’s not involved but awful for the families of the deceased.

We watched the end. My wife’s cousin was right there with him and Justin barey hung on to beat him in the last minute . Good people and they all are friends from what he tells us.
Can be exquisitely painful. I’ve seen patients, specifically a friend of mine who has a calcium deposition disorder and we scoped her shoulder to basically break it up. She was pretty miserable. Injections will sometimes help. Good luck to ya

Tom kha gai!!! Love that stuff. Made some this week. If you can find some galangal and lemongrass it’s sooo super easy to make and really fast.
Agree with Notiger. Most places arent going to have a crazy selection and here in Laffy, I’d say only one or two have a better selection than I do at home. I’ll usually try to have a midrange type pour when out and about.
I was 31 when I went back to PA school and it has proved to be a great decision. I work with a great doc who treats me with lots of respect and we work great together. He’s about 18 years older than me though so I’m dreading when he retires. I’m trying to pay off everything we owe so when he does retire and I can not be pressured to find something right away with someone who isn’t compatible. I really love what I do most days.
Evangeline parish was created from lands formerly belonging to St. Landry Parish in 1910. The area was originally settled by French, German, Spanish and Scots-Irish people. The majority were French, former soldiers from Fort Toulouse, and generations born there were originally called Creoles. The major families were Fontenot, LaToure, Guillory, Lafleur, and Brignac. The Creoles developed a culture that was a mixture of all the ethnic groups living in the area. A few Acadians settled the area, but outsiders mistakenly labeled all the white French people as Cajuns. Major families of non-French descent were Whittington, Haas, Thompson, Johnson, Whatley, Oliver and Walker.
French descendants. Majority from the area were not descended from the Acadians exiled from Nova Scotia. Many of our folks came by way of Fort Toulouse in Alabama IIRC.
We have stayed at the Westin right across the street. Great place. I don’t remember rates, probably used points. Highly recommend

re: The value of an Open House?

We did. Saw a pic of the patio at our home in the listing and I just wanted to drop by to look at that for ideas. Wife checked out the rest of the house and the rest is history. Was more than we had planned to spend at the time but worked out fine by buying something a little above at the time as we are happy where we are and have a reasonable mortgage, decent home and a great neighborhood full of folks I enjoy being around.
