People really love to make crazy conspiracy theories about the Pyramids. The truth is that the Egyptians were much more technologically advanced than what modern society will give them credit for. They had their own pulley system and used hundreds of thousands of contracted workers (not slaves) to construct the pyramid with limestone.

We are closer in years to Ancient Rome than Romans were to the building of the Great Pyramid. 4700 years is a long fricking time and a lot can change.
