Their quality has gone down the shitter.

Think I'm gonna try Duluth.

Carhartt went woke and wild with DEI.

I still have some work pants and shirts that have lasted a long time and wear great. But, I couldn't pull the trigger and buy Carharrt these days.

duluth as the others have said. The firehose pants will outlast you. No idea what changed with carhartt the guys saying hipsters is probably right but…carhartt is likely selling way more stuff now because of it so you can’t really blame them for changing with the market.

If you are willing to spend a few more bucks you can be in a pair of fjallraven pants which will no question last the rest of your life and endure hard work while still looking good enough to wear to work/out in public. If you don’t care about that, stick with duluth

Look up Carhartt B11 pants for what you seem to be describing.

If you want something made in USA and keep for 10 yrs, try Origin. They are no more pricey than Ariat.
Different styles to fit.

If you want stuff for arou d the house. Go to Costco.$16 all day for nylon infused canvas. Throw them away after a year. If its not an everyday wear, try that.

Down to 36” waist from a 38” a little over a year ago. But I don’t skip leg day so my quads are glorious.

Were they gobbled up by a PEG?

Sounds like it. Buy the company, fire workforce and move production to Chinka.

Jack up prices and lower quality and crush the shell.

Like a lot of brands, they build once they become a popular name brand they buy cheaper products and up their prices. Food places do it all the time.

Its the same reason a home AC unit used to last 15-20 years and today they last 7-10 years.

They cut corners and moved productions overseas to increase margins, knowing that the clothes would primarily be worn by people who didnt care.

Carhartt is hipster clothing now.

I kid you not.

We were just talking about it at the gun range. My son had my old carhartt coat on that’s as old as he is and it came up.
