Kroger here sells 80/20 ground bee for like $6.99lb. I can buy better quality at Sams or Costs for $3.29lb.

I never buy meat at Krogers. Overpriced and not that good.

Butcher dude comes out and I asked him why the tenderloin was so cheap. He said it comes from Mexico and is not USDA inspected. I picked up the prime rib and he said "A much better choice".

Isn't this illegal?

Actually one of the butchers at our winn dixie is always out talking to people. He was commenting on biden win to me so I asked him if the workers expected a 15$ min wage...he said yea...I chuckled and walked away.

Oh ohh ohhh my time to frickin shine. We are loaded down with ground beef. My wife gives me such hell about it. But I buy it when I get it around $3 a pound for 93/7 at Sams.

That’s, uh, quite the projection.

it's pretty much openly discussed and investment activity all but assures it

Winn Dixie this morning Roasts selling $1.99 lb Ribeyes selling $5.99 lb Ground meat (85/15) selling $7.99 lb

Find a better grocer...

Roasts are selling at a discount while marking up other beef products.

Rouses in my area has 10 lb tubes of ground meat for 1.99 lb.

While we may shite on Walmart, they are the only store that has nearly consistent prices on meat.

Rouses, Winn Dixie, Kroger, and other main stream grocers have weekly specials and prices fluctuate based on their ads. One week they may have ground meat for 1.99 lb and next week it is 4.99. Winn Dixie is also bad as they utilize their savings card for specials.

why is ground meat so much more expensive than Roast & steaks

The cheaper meats (Rancher's Choice) are older cows plus the meat is imported from Mexico.

Good rule to go by at windixie the butcher tol me if it has black styrofoam packing it’s US if it’s white its from Mexico.. but he also said most the animals come from the United States then ship to Mexico to slaughter.. I will eat it but I do know the windixie brand ribeys are much better than the ranchers choice

I’m mostly a duck hunter but got drunk at a DU banquet, bid on and won a deer hunt in Mexico....that was 3 years ago. Every January something comes up (like cartels and the rona) so still haven’t gone...between buying the trip then buying a brand new rifle and scope for the trip, I’m $6k in and haven’t killed shite

I guess it would be cheaper if you own the land you hunt on and process the meat yourself.

After I pay for my lease, license, and corn no way its cheaper for me...lol.
