What do you want for Christmas?

I'm stumped
I'm mid 40's and there isn't really anything I want anymore that's not more than a couple grand. If there is something out there I wanted, I already bought it. I struggle to give my family ideas. Computer parts? Gun parts?

Only thing I would like would be one of those Ooni portable pizza ovens.

I'm pretty sure I'm getting a solo stove.
Pretty pumped about that.

My kids. I’ll get them Christmas Eve, but it’s always hard getting up Christmas morning and not seeing their sleepy smiles. I don’t have many years left of it and it’s hitting me hard.
ETA: if it’s Something for me? Some jam session time in a recording studio.

This is how I feel also. When I need something I usually get it.

Nothing. I'm almost 34 years old I buy what I want for myself throughout the year. Shouldn't be my family's burden to figure out what to get me. Just thankful to have some time off at the end of the year.

I'm in the same boat. I'm 40 and have a lot of what I want. Nice car? Watches? Guns? Clothes?
Short of a classic Ferrari or Chris Craft, which I have no chance of getting for Christmas, I don't see anything really pleasing me.
I'm also very ok with this. I feel like I should actually sell some stuff. Things don't necessarily make us happy. I'm really lucky to have a great family, spouse (no pics), dog, etc...

Gift cards. My dad similar to you and likes buying guns, so I usually just buy him a gift card to a local outdoor place. Eventually he has enough to go buy a gun he likes with a bunch of gift cards.

I know the feeling. I already have too much stuff and am always looking for a chance to downsize.

We really didn't want to see a pic of your husband anyway. Thanks.

The only thing I really wanted was a wine advent calendar so I bought one. My kids keep asking me what I want but I just don’t know.

At this point in life, whatever they get me will be just fine.

Same here. Have felt that way for years.

To be able to take a day or two to step away without everything crashing and burning, to be able to pay the mortgage and keep business alive right now, to be able to spend the evening with my significant other at least that evening after she is finished with work, have a bonfire with a giant glass of bourbon and a joint.
I'm also grateful that I still have both parents to spend time with on that day.
