This!

Invest early and often. Think of them $ as soldiers that fight along side of you everyday.

Goal was for those soldiers to make more money than I did by time o was 45yo. Them suckers more than delivered.

Encourage all to invest early as you possible can and never stop. Until you can stop. And that day, I hope, is great and early retirement gift to you.

Once you are debt free, day to day living isn’t that expensive.

My money makes my time. I work 21 and 21 offshore. I'm 32 years in. So the money is there along with the time off. It's definitely not for most people. But the idea of early retirement is worth the time spent away and the time home coming shortly!

I valued money more until we got to a comfortable income. Now, I definitely value time more. Flexibility and being able to unplug and leave work at work is what I value now.

I think for most people the normal pattern is to focus more on money until they have enough to start feeling somewhat secure, at that point they begin to focus more on time (both from the security of having money as well as the realization that so much time has already passed by).

Time & health.

I’m not concerned with being rich. I just want to be healthy as long as I can to be with my kids.

Time, but I am trying to make as much money as possible now because I am concerned for my children’s’ future. I want to make sure I leave them something to get a head start

Currently 38 but I realized this three years ago. If you own your own business I get it. If you work for a large corporation, there are zero good reasons to devote your life to work instead of your family. My career will likely stall where I am but I truly don’t care because my kids are very young and I plan to enjoy this limited time.

Time. I have said many times to people that i value that the most over any other commodity, and the easiest way to piss me off is waste my time.

means i am also very "impatient".

I find that the younger generation are asked more about time off before they even ask about pay during the hiring process.

Time. Easy answer.

Now that I'm no longer married to someone who values money over everything, I am a lot happier too.

Great question.. At 36, I sacrifice time to get money to have more free time later in life.

They are basically the same thing because we use money to get back our time.

You use money from work to fund retirement and do what you want and that is the easiest example but there plenty of everyday examples. We pay maids so we don't have to spend a couple of hours a week cleaning the house. You pay for the fast pass at theme parks so lines take less time and we can ride more rides. The wealthy pay personal assistants so they don't have to waste time running errands.

The more money you have, the more freedom (time) you have.
