I turn 59 tomorrow. That's way too fricking close to 60. And the 50 year old wife is going through menopause and has bipolar disorder and it's been a fricked up couple of years.
So 59.
At least I'm thriving at work and making more than I ever have I guess.

I'm sure it's different for everybody.
There's a lot of really unhappy kids that get older, have a family, and are happier than ever.

Wild to me that some have that experience. My time at LSU was some of the best years for me, for mostly obvious reasons.

I’m sure hoping things get better after mid 40s. My life is full of blessings, and I still make myself miserable.
Hitting 40 sucked. Hitting 50 shook me.
I'm 53 now. Everything reminds me of how fast life goes by now. Second half of life is all about loss. It sucks.

What do you think the unhappiest age is?

Coming up with an average age is complete BS. There are way too many factors involved.
Own a business?
Job that ebbs and flows with the economy?
Health issues?
Have kids?
Kids have issues?
Spouse with serious illness?
Parents that require assistance?
Layed off?
AI may be taking your job?
And so on and so on....

Without a doubt it absolutely has to be the median age of a tRant poster. We have the most miserable, whining, complaining, kvetching, bitching group, especially if we're expected to win and don't. As Saban said, it's catastrophe syndrome. So whatever age these "Wendy Whiner" types are, that's the age. I just imagine most of them kicking the dog, the wife, or complaining about the sports that their daughters, sisters, etc are playing. It's really unbelievable. You'd think they were all from New Jersey.
Passion is great when we win, but when we don't, look out below.

52. Your parents are right about 40s and 50s. You got money to do things and give zero shits what anybody thinks of you.
I am kind of pissed looking back at my 20s because those SHOULD have been the greatest years but instead felt like a struggle post college graduation. I'd really like those years back.
