What do you think is happening in Aleppo? Who do you believe?

On one side you have western media sources reporting what is essentially a genocide with the government forces killing everyone. On the other, you have Russian media reporting that residents are celebrating their "liberation" from the rebels.
In today's age where people are more skeptical of the media than ever before, who do you believe?

We can't afford to be that naive/comfortable. They need our help. Obama should be ashamed he didn't do more during his Presidency.

I think Obama managed to continue the tradition of f'ing up the Middle East nicely during his Presidency.
Now I can buy the argument that we need to help the civilians as a way of making up for our disastrous foreign policy.

What exactly should he have done?
I am no fan of the man's presidency in general and foreign policy in particular, but the only truly effective measure would have been to send in thousands of soldiers to quell the violence. Russia and Iran have far more at stake there than we ever will, and they will raise the price of intervening until it is too costly for us to continue. Should hundreds or thousands more American soldiers die for a place that matters little in the grand scheme of things and for a people who largely either don't care about us or hate us?

Bashar is going scorched earth on Aleppo, and he's using continuous mortar bombardment to create enough fear that any civilians in the city will turn on the rebels in order to end it.
The civilian slaughters are being conducted through awful intelligence where certain neighborhoods have been designated as pro-rebel, and therefore they're killing anyone they think is against the government.
Al-Assad is using this as his chance to squash any Syrian's thoughts about continuing to fight the government. He thinks he is making a statement by committing atrocities, and he probably is.

This mess was started and instigated by the US government with Hillary and McCain spear heading it. Blames lies directly at their feet.
Stay the frick out of it, we've done enough damage. I hope assad prevails, lesser of multiple evils, which is usually the case everywhere in the ME.

One of the only goddamn things Obama did right in his presidency was keeping our military out of direct intervention in the Syrian civil war. And I don't think there was much conviction or ideology behind that policy, I think he stumbled and bumbled into it like most everything else in his administration's foreign policy but I'm thankful for it nonetheless.
