Nah. Thats a riverboat style cruise that will be 90% white people over the age of 65.

I knew someone that did the one on the Mississippi. They said it was a lot of old people and that there was a TON of downtime and that they read several books.

Ive seen them let out before in Vicksburg when i stopped off the interstate for lunch. I guess they could see the one nice street downtown and then go to the civil war park.

looks like it goes west to east, so the itinerary would be more like

1. get murdered

I could def see how foreigners and old folks from up north would be interested in this.

There are decent tourist things and historical spots to visit at all those ports other than Pascougula. I don’t know what they would do there.

The price is stupid though.

Same company offers cruises on the Snake and Columbia Rivers in Idaho, Washington and Oregon and they stop at places like Lewiston Idaho and Kennewick Washington, not nearly as exciting locales as Pensacola or Mobile....and they are slap full of old white folks having the time of their lives....

The Moon Pie drop site in Mobile lol

Don't they have an equally silly New Year's drop tradition in Pensacola?

I like my weekend getaways to Ocean Springs and BSL as much as anyone, but this is a ridiculous thing. A port of call in Pascagoula?!

As has been mentioned, if you are from elsewhere and are just desperate to see the Gulf coast…fly into NOLA, rent a car, drive that route, staying at higher end accommodations, exclude Pascagoula, shopping, dining, and drinking generously…a fraction of the cost.

A miscalculation by the cruise line, I believe.

No kids, no idiots. They pay extra for that. Not the SS Wal Mart (Carnival) cruise for sure.

Depends…if I am on the leg going from P-cola to New Orleans, I would want to go back to enjoy P-town.

But if I am on the leg between Nola to P-cola, I have to get back to check on my car.
