TIL most of tOT is boring AF.
In that vein, my boring car is my travel vehicle:
2006 Lexus ES 468,XXX miles.
In all that time, it ran up just under $2,300 in repairs, and not a single issue ever stranded me. The only two things that don't work on the car now: about 100k miles ago, the CD changer quit working, and sometime in the last few years, the backlight on the driver's side seat heater switch failed. Both are non-issues. The driver's seat is getting a little mangy, but after 8000 or so hours with me sitting in it one can't complain.
List of failures:
2 rear light bulbs
1 front HID headlight bulb
CV joints
rear shocks
power steering hose
1 of the coils (replaced all 6 instead of the 1)
