Not a dime! Joint custody! Mom ran out yrs ago! I'm still fighting the good fight! I don't ask her for a thing! I don't say shiiit, I let mine make their own decisions! Her attorney said their her kids too!
It took me awhile to understand that! But once I realized that, one day they'll make decisions. After 14 yrs, I can't get rid of them! Not that I want too, but they know where home is!

I know a friend pays 1500 for 2 kids and he doesn't make but maybe 3300 after taxes. He us seriously getting raped and lives back with his parents because of it
Why do women get most of the custody when they can't afford to take care of the kids? Seems like the judge would be smart enough to give custody to the parent who can actually provide for the kid instead of giving it to the parent who doesn't have a job or a shitty one?

These numbers are insane. It makes it so hard To have a working relationship with your ex when you have that financial dagger being driven into your back every month. And then having to watch that money a lot of the time not spent on your children.

If you use the search function you see from comments he allowed his wife to email/chat with another poster on this website who she ended up cheating on him with.

If you add up everything I was paying (car note, insurance, she lived in my separate property residence for 2 years, all utilities, child support, etc) I was paying over 3k a month for 2 years for one child.
I cannot begin to explain how difficult she made my life. If I wasn’t paying all of her bills, I was paying child support or attorneys. It took a judge almost 3 years to un-frick all the damage she caused. I had to deploy just to keep up the payments. Life is so much better now. She can keep the money as long as she stays far away.

I know a guy who makes 21 dollars an hour and has been riding a bicycle for years because of past due child support.

In Louisiana it’s a fixed rate based on his income vs her income and number of childern.
Take combined income and look up on for number of childern at that net income. Then you factor in full vs shared custody to get rate.

That’s also including her medical insurance
Not to mention I pay almost 1,000 in bills since she ran up credit cards ?? in my name.
It wouldn’t be bad but frick LA state taxes

I got divorced and my dumb arse ex took things to the extreme. We had 50/50 custody.
, with me paying her child support...but she went back to court to try and get full custody.
She lost. I have sole custody and she pays me child support.

You have to pay her insurance? That's messed up if so. My work wouldn't allow an ex to remain on our company health plan

I actually get 800 a month from her for 1 kid.

Can't speak on current terms since my divorce happened in 86 and at the time I had one 7 yr. old son with my former wife. My court ordered child support payment was $500 a month and I also had to pay the note on the car I had bought for her several months prior to us splitting up for an additional $250 a month.
If I remember correctly, I was making about $45K a year at that time.
I did stay in the house and she moved out and rented something smaller and more affordable for her with no maintenance or upkeep issues.
