During my high school years in the 1950s, it was always called Tiger Town, and that is the same name it was called when I finished law school in 1975.

There are still several businesses in the area that are still called Tiger Town...this, Tiger Town....that, etc.

"The Tracks" is also an acceptable answer depending how far NW you drift once you are North of the Gates.

I didn’t have a car and it was pre-Uber days so I used to go to the Family Dollar there to buy stuff constantly. Probably wouldn’t do that today.

When I was there we called it TigerTown. This was when the theater, K&B, Louie's (original), Mr. Gattis and IHOP were still there...

I believe once “Tiger Land” south of campus came into more of a spot that there was confusion in the 1980s with the two names. But only one had signage so…

I always considered the “north gates” to be where Northgate liquor used to be. By the natatorium

Agree.

I always considered the area right outside the old North Gate Tavern as Tiger Town.

It’s confusing.

I was there in the 80s also and I always heard it referred to as Tiger Town. There was tiger town car wash and tiger town exxon back then.

That’s the Nicholson Gateway, but it’s the western most gate.
