What Do You Believe Happens To Pets After Death?

I once listened to a monsignor and canon lawyer tell children during a homily that pets don't go to Heaven because they don't have souls. I thought it was pretty cold at the time, but he cited the Bible.

They die and go into the ground. Many many years later they become oil. The exact same thing as humans.

Not sure. I would put reincarnation as a possibility.

I once had an off job where I’d deliver frozen euthanized animals from the vet clinic to the incinerator. Those particular animals were incinerated.

I know excellent theologians who believe our pets will be in heaven with us because they were dear to us on Earth. Basically, because we build up treasures in heaven, and our animals were things we loved(treasured) on earth, but are not an earthly possessions we can covet like gold or silver.
It's more complicated than that from a theological standpoint, but that is the basic gist of it.

The founder of Methodism, John Wesley, had a beloved horse that he believed he would see again. Billy Graham.was asked the question and said heaven will have everything we need for us to be happy, implying pets would be there.
My personal opinion is they go where we go, wherever that is.

Depends on what kind of pet it is. Dogs get buried with respect. Cats get tossed over the fence in to your neighbor's yard. Goldfish get flushed.
