No matter how you come out on the answer, that’s not how statistics work.
Fair enough. But, my intention wasn’t to apply inferential statistics to the matter - no Bell Curve, just a simple fact that an afterlife or nothingness are both mutually exclusive with one result at death...

All the dead pets are divided up amongst all the Vietnamese restaurants.

Link to any other species with our level of technology, art, and societies?
None of that really matters. The point of life is to survive and procreate. There are many species out there that have been doing it a lot longer than we have. And hell, the human brain may turn out to be the worst invention in the history of evolution if we end up prematurely destroying ourselves - which we are capable of doing. But at the same time it may save us from the inevitable destruction of Earth.
We are certainly the most powerful species on Earth, but we don’t always use that power wisely or productively and it hurts us. Meanwhile, hardy species like rats and roaches are equipped to survive nearly anything without the vulnerability of self-destruction.
We could turn out to be the best or worst thing to ever happen to life on Earth. It just depends on our future and if we are able to overcome our own vulnerabilities as well as survive conditions that eventually will wipe out the rest of life on Earth.

I was told from a young age that two creatures will never make it into heaven due to lack of a soul.

Dogs, like the rest of us, are God's creation.

Your pets go to Heaven, regardless of whether you do or not. Period.
