What do y’all know about fort carson’s First Stryker brigade?

My son is about to finish combat medic training and has been given his first orders to fort Carson with their first Stryker brigade. Tell me all y’all know about this unit. His mom is freaking out.

I just looked it up and it’s in Colorado. You better sit him down and have a long talk about drugs. I’d hate for him to turn into a pothead.

I was stationed there for three years, it is agreat place to be for a few years. Every unit is the same if you're a 68W. He will learn some great stuff before any type of combat. Just don't get those locals pregnant.
Also, Colorado Springs is a very pro-military town with a great Vetern's Day parade every year. Tell him to train for the EFMB and he will be set/

Strykers were after my time. Only thing I can tell you is from what I’ve heard the Cav & Armor units that were swapped over to the Stryker hate the hell out of them and want their Abrams and Bradleys back.

Fort Carson is the best post in the Army, he is going to deploy, and he will need to learn to shite in a MRE bag and drop it out the floor hatch.
But seriously, great division, great post. I spent most of my time in 4ID. If he likes outdoor activities it’s a cool place. It will take about a month to get used to the thinner air.

Tell her to watch episode 2 of Medal of Honor on Netflix. Several of those guys came from Carson.
