Band of Brothers was released September 9, two days before 9/11.

That Doctor disappearing (kinda hot). Some reported her going into the building to help.

Others dont believe she ever headed to the 9/11 site.

Some video footage shows her shopping with an unknown woman.

She was never seen or heard from again.

That the Israelis knew about the attacks two weeks in advance of them.

Chandra Levy's murder became a loose fart in the wind.

Rohan-to-Reed was the greatest passing duo in the history of football at any level, and is yet unmatched. No one could cover Reed. He caught everything. Few could tackle him.

Some accounting snafus in Washington.

The eternally evil scum bag, Henry Kissinger, was supposed to face trial for war crimes in Chile, but the trial mysteriously vanished after the events of 9-11-01, which Kissinger's foreign policy birthed.

Huge story that vanished after 9/11.

El Chapo’s first prison escape happened a few months prior. Mexican authorities had him cornered with the help of American aid and technology, but the U.S. withdrew their support immediately after 9/11, and that allowed El Chapo to slip away.

There was another major investigation that was derailed. I forgot the details, but it involved the mafia, cartels, and biker gangs that was shelved after 9/11 and LEO focus shifted to foreign terrorists.

I recently read the story of Joseph Slowinsk, a herpetologist who basically recorded his own death in a journal. He was in the field on a research project when he got bit by a venomous snake. It occured on September 11, 2001.

From Wiki:
quote:

On September 11, 2001, while researching in an isolated region of Myanmar, Slowinski was bitten by a Suzhen's krait (Bungarus suzhenae).[1] He died 29 hours later after his team, which included Mark W. Moffett, made several failed attempts to obtain medical attention. The September 11 terrorist attacks made communication with the embassy difficult, and by the time the embassy prepared a helicopter, the weather was particularly bad, thus preventing a helicopter from transporting Slowinski to a hospital, and making it impossible to carry medical supplies to the campsite.

It wasn't until later in the month that his death got any attention from the scientific community.

The greatest tragedy on American soil up until that point had occurred only seven months prior...losing Dale Earnhardt Sr.
