Good rule my colleagues and I followed in the International O&G geophysics biz when listing our travels. I've been to Japan dozens of times. Never left Narita it was always just a transfer point. Doesn't count.

I did manage to board the wrong flight to Singapore there once, two Singapore Air (great airline) flights departing both within the hour. Was wondering how I got a seat in 1st class...

Japan is one place I would like to someday spend time visiting.

So in Europe, I still need Malta, Cyprus, Belarus, Russia, and Iceland. Still never been to South America or Africa.

Id say go to Iceland first or last, its enjoyable if you're into rural nature.
