Sure, the live tiger at the football game showed he’s definitely focused on the right issues.

University of Arkansas has surpassed OU over the past decade for Texas HS students choosing an out of state school.

Oklahoma State isn’t far behind. LSU is a distant 4th place.

You forgot to finish your sentence.

Baton Rouge proper is a great place to raise a family if you make good money.

By good money I mean enough to pay for private school and live in a safe neighborhood which isn’t cheap.

After they graduated, Houston & Nashville. Both in the medical field. I doubt they will ever move back to LA.

The largest LSU Alumni group outside of Louisiana is in Atlanta. That should give you at least a little idea of where a good portion of LSU grads are landing.

In 10 years Houston and Dallas will be Louisiana West.
—Lordy, don’t say THAT. I-10 from the border to San Jacinto is already bad enough.

Healthcare really isn’t great. The pay is about half of what you can get in greater Houston with the COL not being much lower to justify

You can't really lump all of "healthcare" into one segment. There are definitely some decent healthcare jobs.

ETA: but you do have a point that it's basically only healthcare and O&G, at least here in Lafayette. The vast majority of my friends fall into those two categories.

Engineers can stay in New Orleans BR Northshore Lafayette Also lots of healthcare jobs here obviously other places have better business opportunities but we did gain minimal population last year. Maybe we are awakening from the JBE doldrums the LNG expansions Hyundai plant and the LIT terminal for Port Nola should help. Ochsner and LCMC are growing Tulane investing downtown Xavier is doing well and LSU is growing in BR. Not all Hope is lost but we have a big hole to dig out of

There are lots of LSU grads around Atlanta, but I can’t figure out where people are watching the games.

I just moved here, check out the Alumni Association Atlanta chapter Facebook page.

I know they always frequent The Ivy in Buckhead and there's always smaller watch parties at places in Decatur and Smyrna.

When I started working here in 2016 Stoov told me of some place that may have been in Sandy Springs, but I’ve long since lost that text and had never followed through on going.
