Collin county has become the equivalent of Orange county. There is no need to go into Dallas for dining, shopping, or entertainment any longer.
Every trendy restaurant in Dallas clones itself up north as soon as it can, on top of what that area offers now anyway.
There'll probably be a John Wayne style airport in McKinney sooner than later.

Yeah similar here. Use to go up to mckinney a bunch to play up at a Hank Haney 9-hole mostly 3par course that was on custer. It was crappy, but fun way to kill the time. But yeah it's definitely changed way to much up that way since I was a kid.

that’s because south La folks are the insecure ones and south La folks generally aren’t familiar with Dallas. They hate Houston cause Houston is where many people from south La move.

I live in Allen, suburb just south of McKinney. You really can't go wrong with McKinney. Great place to raise a family. Wife (no pics) is a realtor (for over 13 years) and is very familiar with McKinney/Allen/Frisco area and the growing suburbs north of McKinney as well. People who relocate tend to be very pleased with the schools, cost of living, the amount of house you get for your dollar, and overall convenience. DFW airport is a 30-45 minute drive down the tollway, if you will be traveling in your job.
