re: What BR neighborhoods are guaranteed not to flood? I.e. the highest elevation.

I second Oak Hilks. Oak Hills laughed at the 2016 flood. THAT side of Highland is high land.

Kensington Estates. Sits right on top of the highland rd bluff.

Capital HEIGHTS does not flood. old goodwood never has, in the 40 years i've been in the area

I never saw anything even close to flooding in Collegetown.

Webb Park area. We don’t even have standing water on the street when it rains. Probably helps we have huge drainage canals close by and you go up hill when driving north on College Dr.

Look at all the oldest neighborhoods. People settled the highest areas first. Mid city staying dry. Fingers crossed

Wrong. I lived there at Clark and Plank as a kid. I remember playing in about 3 feet of water in the front yard one time.

Well, I heard some houses in the lower parts of Iberville Terrace flooded last month during the torrential rain, probably due to poor drainage issues.

Yep Old Goodwood area doesn’t flood nor any areas near BRCC like Tara or Brentwood.

Yep, we flooded and at least 3 other homes that I know of.

Typically yes, but this was Middle Branch of Ward’s Creek at Chevelle during June 6th flood

Southdowns was wondering what all the huh bub was in 16 until will saw the news.. I was shocked that I lived in the same city as some of the folks that flooded and felt relieved and terrible
