I love it how some people can't list a single good thing about New Orleans. It's very odd that New Orleans' main source of revenue is tourism and yet you can't list a single good thing about it. Why do thousands and thousands of people travel here and spend their hard earned money here year after year if there's nothing good here? Does anyone have the tourism info for Mandeville, Baton Rouge and Lafayette? I'm sure their numbers are out of this world right?

Pro, used to be a very clean city.

Con, the city started going down hill in the early 1970's and now is a shite hole.

Before the 1970's. Then again, most cities were taken care of and clean here in the south before that time.

Lifelong New Orleanian here. When I moved to BR, a friend from New Orleans, who was working in BR told me that people on BR hated people from New Orleans. I found out that was true, for the most part. I was there for 18 years and never really felt like i belonged there. Glad to be retired back in the greatest city in the world, New Orleans. Crime is everywhere, so what!
