What's the best basic set up to get? I have a Visio surround sound bar but I want something with crisp sound that allows me to better set up so that I have an even balance.
A surround sound bar is false advertisement because its not really surround sound
Best answer is to ask on the tech forum or better yet go to AVSforum.com and ask.
Be prepared for a number of questions the most important is budget. Figure ~$600 on the low end for a basic 5.1 setup with budget decent components and of course it can go up from there to more than the average home.
Second is are you comfortable with speakers in the room and if you want (and can wire) inwalls or not.
The question is just way to complex to answer within a thread not dedicated to the question. That being said if you set a budget I will give you a rec for a decent system in that range.

This is a pretty good way to give it a try. These StewMac kits are very good and very affordable.
LINK
I wouldn't buy their finishing kit though, their finishing stuff is priced pretty high, and you probably already have most of what you need for finishing.

A word I don't think I have ever heard outside a woodworking forum/book or from the mouth of a woodworker. You would love some of the curly maple I have.

I fly a very nice drone FPV(first person view-using goggles). The camera streams what you point it at onto the screen of the goggles. It's awesome when you get up to 300-400 ft and look into the distance and see something and then just take off and go to what you saw and check it out.The drone can go out about 2 miles and still provide the video feed to the goggles. You can cover a lot of ground fast. Using the goggles creates a"totally immersive" experience-you feel as though you are in the drone and looking down on everything-it's an awesome feeling.
I also do O-scale model railroading. I do it mainly in the winter season.
I have some Nitro powered R/C monster trucks that I run from time-to time, also. I've not indulged in this in some time though.
I'm retired now so I can explore new things such as powder coating and rust removal through electrolysis. I always wanted to learn how and now I have . I enjoy learning new things. I sometimes think I have too many hobbies.

good friend of mine is an amazing woodworker. I picked up the term from him. It’s a good word.
I took it in school, really enjoyed it. Did some cabinetry for a while once.
I'm not great, barely serviceable but its fulfilling as hell.

Coming back to the thread I see a lot of people listing outdoor activities I generally don't think of as hobbies, but I guess it is just me categorizing things that don't need to be pigeon-holed. Cycling, rock climbing, backpacking, golf, and disc golf are things I do regularly but I don't treat them as hobbies
I think it depends on how far you take it. At the peak of my racing career I was spending a butt ton of money on bikes, racing fees, training and traveling for omniums all over the South.
I trained 7 days a week and literally couldn't find enough races to scratch the itch. I raced in every state within a days drive from TN, hit every century and organized ride I could find when I wasn't racing, trained 7 days a week, obsessed over winning every Strava climb in the middle TN area and spent the time I was off the bike taking it apart and cleaning every single component.
Even met a couple of TD posters who raced at a Florida and Louisiana race.
So while I get people might not call something they do casually a hobby, it's all in how far you take a given interest.

Yep, an inquisitive dude will never get bored.

I am on a constant pursuit for hobbies. My problem is I dive in deep and then get bored quickly and move on to the next one. Many times I lack the discipline to do things deep and long term. This somewhat bothers me but I guess it keeps things interesting and my mind moving.
Making Money (Working)
Commercial Real Estate Investing
Travel / Collecting Simple Things I've Acquired Traveling
Talking About Myself
Americana (I really enjoy business stories, company histories and the American way of life from the 1950s on.)
I've been getting into plane spotting and learning more about commercial aviation.
Watching YouTube and then getting too many ideas of new things I could be doing.
Eating Good Food
Preparedness (I'm not a full on prepper at all but I really like being prepared. I'm constantly building out the amount of gear I carry on my truck for different scenarios. Today I will be cleaning and organizing my humble home workshop to get things on track there).
Learning to be Handier (I'm nearly helpless with anything automotive for example. I don't like that feeling.)
Right now I'm deep diving into living a simpler life and minimalism. I wont' have a simple life or be a minimalist when I'm done but I'm at the complete opposite spectrum right now and need to streamline so I can make more money and pursue hobbies that I truly want to.
Wish List at the Moment:
Model Railroading / Diecast Vehicle Collecting / Diecast Dioramas
Disconnecting with a Place in the Woods
Did I mention talking about myself?

I have a strat body that I hollowed out to make a semi hollow body and might put 2 p-90s in. Very cool.
I have a couple bridges laying around. I’ve bought generic bridges and tuning pegs from GuitarFetish and Amazon (Musiclily, Dopro, Guyker) and they are all pretty good quality. Nothing amazing, but for the price they do the job.
The red Washburn came like yours, I got the tuners, bridge, and pickups from GuitarFetish and the pickup rings and backplate from Amazon. All-in it was probably ~ $150.

Photography and hiking are my two favorites.
Photography is expensive. I've bought 7 cameras with 5 different ecosystems over the past 11 years.
I don't rent, because it takes me a long time to get accustomed to what a camera can do.
