I still always make my husband drive when we go up there. He took us off roading a little in his jeep last time. I didn’t really enjoy it. Sliding around in the snow just made me more scared.

I just couldn’t imagine having to drive in that in a regular car all the time. I would even feel scared in my jeep.

Baton Rouge shuts down with 2 inches of snow. Probably for the best since drivers can't drive in optimal weather, much less snow.

I usually make snowballs with a 30/70 mixture of snow to mud/gravel from the roads.

Live in it up here in Ohio, and although it doesn't snow a lot all the time, but when it does....I hate it!

Back in the 60's I walked two miles uphill to Baton Rouge High in the snow every winter.

Up here in NEOhio, we get the lake effect snows. The wind sets up to blow across the lake and we get several inches of snow an hour for days at a time. That gets old pretty quick.
Not to mention your car getting eaten alive by the salt on the roads.

Still, at least its not Buffalo. They have it much worse.

Plenty of experience with snow since moving to the northeast.

Most noteably was the “Snowmaggedon” of 2015. Pretty much every record possible in terms of amount of snow, lowest temps, etc. we’re broken that year. It was absolutely miserable.
